TEN pubs across Essex are up for sale on Rightmove - including a Canvey landmark that has hit the market this week.

This beloved Greene King pub has been closed since February after a small fire.
Greene King has now put it up for sale, seeking offers around £375,000.
A spokesman for Greene King said: "The Haystack has been closed since February this year and, having explored all the options available to us, we have made the difficult decision to sell the pub."
The Onley, Stisted

This completely refurbished pub and restaurant near Braintree features six guest rooms and a large bar.
The Onley as its now known reopened in June 2016 after an extensive refurbishment transforming the former 19th century inn.
It is being marketed on Rightmove by Heritage, Coggeshall, with offers considered in the region of £1,200,000.

The pub in Brick End has been renovated and refurbished throughout, but has been closed since May 2024.

Offers in excess of £450,000 are being taken by agents Everard Cole.

After closing in March, this pub in Clacton Road has been placed on the market by Sidney Phillips Limited with a guide price of £395,000.
The Red Lion is a prominent link-detached pub in the historic Essex village of St Osyth.

Sidney Phillips has also placed this pub in Sydney Street on the market at £395,000.
It has been put on the market after the owners announced in December that they will be leaving after nine years in charge.
The traditional end-of-terrace public house is situated in one of the town’s densely populated residential streets.

Currently boarded up, the pub at 130 Coggeshall Road is on Rightmove with Everard Cole taking offers in the region of £375,000.
The pub announced its closure on social media in January 2020.
Griffin, Halstead

The Griffin Pub in Parsonage Street was forced to close in July 2020 due to the pressures of the Covid pandemic.
It is being marketed by Everard Cole with offers in the region of £325,000 considered.
St Lawrence Inn, near Southminster
This pub is listed on Rightmove as an opportunity to take over a well-established leasehold pub with a spacious three-bedroom flat and two mobile homes in the village of St Lawrence.
It is being marketed by Gilbert and Rose at £50,000.
Craftwerk, in Rayleigh

This quirky pub is in the old Victorian toilet block on Crown Hill. Michelle Reynolds took over the premises in February 2024 and turned it into a success, serving a collection of craft beers to her customers.
She and husband Stephen say they have placed the venue on the market as the couple have moved to Cheshire.
It is currently listed by Gilbert and Rose on Rightmove at a price of £45,000.
The Bull at Blackmore End
This pub in Church Street is currently closed and provides an opportunity for a new operator to refurbish the flexible ground floor.
The Bull has been listed on Rightmove by Everard Cole with "offers invited".
