Southend's own Sonny Green is favourite to win this year’s Britain’s Got Talent final, according to the bookies.
Spoken word artist Sonny is just one performance away from capturing the nation’s heart and a £250,000 grand prize.
The father-of-two has odds of 6/4 to win, according to Betway.
Lewis Knowles, spokesman for the bookmaker, said: "Sonny Green has consistently impressed throughout the competition, after a string of tear-jerking performances in both his audition and semi-final, which have greatly impressed both the judges and fans online."

Sonny's emotional semi-final performance moved judge KSI to tears and earned him a golden buzzer from Simon Cowell.
His journey to Saturday’s live final at Hammersmith Apollo started with his now-viral poem What England Means To Me, which had previously featured during London’s New Year’s Eve fireworks.
Speaking to the Echo earlier this week, he said he was grateful for the support he has received from Southend and that he is hoping to paint the city in a positive light across the world.
Other frontrunners include Matty Juniosa, a double golden-buzzer winner, and The Hawstone Farmers Choir, created by broadcaster Jeremy Clarkson.
Both are priced at 5/1.
Drone display act Celestial is also in the running at 5/1.
Lewis added: "The finals of Britain’s Got Talent are always one of the most nail-biting episodes of reality TV competitions, as the contestants gather for one last time in a showdown to win the grand prize money.
"However, with Matty Juniosa, The Hawstone Farmers Choir, and Celestial all delivering standout performances in their semi-final acts, the competition is tighter than ever.

"There’s no doubt this year is shaping up to be one of the most competitive finals in the show’s history, and we can’t wait to see who will be victorious."
From the High Street to the seafront, residents have thrown their support behind the spoken word artist, with families, businesses and fans all telling the Echo they are backing Sonny all the way.
Many are planning to tune in and vote as he bids to win the ITV competition.
Adventure Island boss Philip Miller said: "It's just fantastic that we have got a Southend son on the international stage promoting Southend.
"What a good guy, he knows where his roots are, he is brilliant."
