A cinema in Basildon town centre has launched its biggest screen yet.

Vue Basildon unveiled the new EPIC By Vue experience, promising an elevated and immersive viewing option for cinemagoers.

The cutting-edge screen features next-generation HDR by Barco Laser projectors, delivering up to six times the brightness of a standard cinema screen, paired with Dolby Atmos sound for fully immersive audio.

Blake Harper, general manager at Vue Basildon, said: "The arrival of our EPIC screen is the latest in a series of upgrades we’ve made to ensure we offer people in Basildon the best big screen experience possible.

"We recently introduced Ultra Lux seating, our most luxurious seating option and Laser by Barco technology in every screen.

"Great films leave a mark on you, especially when you see them where they’re meant to be seen, in the cinema, with the best seat, screen, and sound experience."

EPIC By Vue features Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 from today, giving families the chance to experience Woody and Buzz’s return like never before.

More major releases scheduled for the EPIC screen this summer include Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow on June 26, Minions & Monsters later in the season, and Christopher Nolan’s historic epic The Odyssey on July 17.

Tickets for EPIC by Vue are available to book at myvue.com.
