Police have provided an update after a crash which shut the A13 last night.
The major route was closed in both directions after an incident between Tilbury and Stanford Le Hope.
An Essex Police spokesman said: “Officers were called at around 4.40pm to reports of a collision involving three vehicles on the A13 near Stanford-le-Hope.
“One casualty was taken on to hospital for further care for injuries which were not believed to be life-threatening.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
