Southend Airport have announced the arrival of two new Winter routes to it's ever-growing list of destinations.
The new easyJet routes will fly passengers to Lyon in France and Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, offering both winter sports getaways and sunshine escapes.
Kevin Doyle, UK country manager at easyJet, said: "We're really pleased to be putting these new routes from London Southend to Lyon and Sharm el-Sheikh on sale for flights and holidays, offering customers even more choice when travelling from the region.
"Whether it's hitting the slopes or enjoying some winter sun, these destinations provide great value options for our customers and to travel with ease.
"We look forward to welcoming even more customers on board for their winter holidays."

Flights to Lyon will begin on December 3, 2026 and operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays, while Sharm El Sheikh flights will launch on January 4, 2027, running on Mondays and Fridays.
Ticket prices begin at £20.99 for both routes.
The Lyon route offers access to the French Alps for ski enthusiasts or a city break filled with culture and cuisine.

The airport describes Lyon as offering "historic streets, incredible food, and easy access to some of Europe’s best ski resorts," combining "culture, cuisine and winter adventure."
Highlights include its UNESCO-listed Old Town, bustling squares, Christmas markets and the iconic Festival of Lights.

For those seeking warmth, Sharm El Sheikh promises turquoise waters and desert adventures on Egypt’s Red Sea coast.
A spokesperson for the airport said: "Ideal for sunny winter escapes, family holidays and relaxing resort breaks, Sharm is made for travellers who want proper warm weather and see-through waters while Britain’s still wrapped up for winter."
The airport now offer trips to 30 destinations across Europe and North Africa.
