A garden centre in Rayleigh closed early today as Essex faces "extreme" temperatures.
Slatfords Nursery and Garden Centre, located off the A127 in Rayleigh shut at 1pm today (June 25) and will do so again tomorrow (June 26) as temperatures inside its greenhouses soared.
A spokesman for the business said: "It was a tad tropical in the greenhouses yesterday.
"So I will be closing again today and tomorrow at 1pm for our wellbeing and yours.
"Sorry for any inconvenience caused and stay cool."

The early closure is one of several heat-related closures and disruptions across Essex.
Sweyne Park School has also announced a 12.30pm finish tomorrow.
Headteacher John Edwards said Friday is expected to be the hottest day of the year, with temperatures in Rayleigh forecast to exceed those earlier in the week.
The Met Office has extended its red warning for extreme heat until 9pm on Friday for London and parts of south-east England, with temperatures potentially reaching 37C.
Chief meteorologist Andy Page said: "Significant disruption to daily life is likely and the public should take every effort to adapt their daily routines to cope with these levels of heat."
