All lanes have been stopped on the M25 following a reported crash involving a lorry and a car, leaving traffic stationary in the area.
The incident happened in the clockwise carriageway between junction 27 for the M11 and junction 28 for the A12 at Brentwood and the Brook Street Roundabout late this morning (Tuesday, July 14).
Vehicles are currently held on the carriageway, with drivers facing a complete standstill while the scene is managed.
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area where possible, expect significant disruption, and allow extra time for their journeys.
