A popular outdoor cinema event across Bank Holiday weekend has been cancelled due to poor weather forecasts.
The Canvey Outdoor Cinema was set to take place over the Bank Holiday weekend, from Friday, August 28 to Sunday, August 30, at Waterside Farm Leisure Centre, but has now been called off.
Castle Point Active, which manages the centre, confirmed the decision in a public notice.
A spokesman said: "Due to the latest weather forecast and the expected conditions this weekend, Vision Cinema has made the difficult decision to cancel this event.

"The safety and enjoyment of guests, staff and the team is always top priority, and unfortunately the forecast means the event is unable to go ahead as planned.
"They are incredibly disappointed to have to make this decision and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment."
The event was set to feature a giant LED screen, wireless headphones, inflatable seating, tasty treats and drinks, and an outdoor bar area.
Films on the schedule included Top Gun: Maverick, Wonka, K-Pop Demon Hunters, and Mamma Mia.
The outdoor cinema weekend has become a popular highlight of the summer calendar on Canvey, but has been cancelled as the weekend is set to be a washout with rain and wind forecast.
"Further information regarding any rescheduled event or ticket arrangements will be shared as soon as possible," the venue spokesman added.
