Aldi will open a new store off the A127 this month.
The Rayleigh branch will open at Rayleigh Weir Retail Park at 8am on Thursday, September 17.
The new store will be managed by Amy Fitzgerald and a team of 27 colleagues from the area.
Amy Fitzgerald, Aldi store manager, said: "We can’t wait to open the doors to the new store in Rayleigh.
"It’s set to be a special day and having Olympic hero Hattie Taylor join us will make it a morning to remember."
To mark the opening, the Team GB bronze medallist will cut the ribbon and help welcome customers.
Ms Taylor said: "I’m so excited to be opening Aldi’s new store; it will be great to chat to customers and a lovely way for me to thank Aldi for its support of Team GB."
The first 30 customers in the queue will receive a complimentary bag of fruit and vegetables from Aldi’s Super 6 range.

Customers will also find a ‘Food to Go’ section at the front of the store, and Aldi’s popular Specialbuys in the middle aisle every Thursday and Sunday.
The Rayleigh branch will stock fresh British meat, weekly offers, Aldi’s ‘Specially Selected’ range, and exclusive beers, wines, and spirits.
Aldi has been named the UK’s Cheapest Supermarket for 2025 by consumer group Which?—the fifth year in a row it has won the title.
The store is encouraging local charities and food banks to register with Neighbourly, a platform that connects businesses with community organisations.
Registered charities will be able to collect surplus food and perishable products, such as fruit, vegetables and baked goods, seven days a week.

The new store will be open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 10pm, and Sundays from 10am to 4pm.
It is part of Aldi’s ongoing investment in communities across the UK, aiming to offer more customers access to affordable, high-quality groceries.
