A cricket pavilion in Basildon will feature grey cladding instead of brickwork.

Basildon Council approved the change from face brickwork to horizontal plank cladding for a single-storey side extension at Mopsies Park East pavilion in Timberlog Close.

Planning officers confirmed the switch to Anthracite Grey cladding would not alter the scale, footprint or height of the building.

The council clarified the approval only covers the new extension, with no permission granted to reclad the existing pavilion.
