A frightfully fun monster hunt is heading to a seaside landmark in Southend this week.

The Monster Hunt will take place at Southend Pier and Railway from October 23 to November 1.

Children can explore the pier head to discover fun monster characters between 10.15am and 4.30pm each day.

Activity sheets cost £2.50 per child in addition to usual pier admission prices and can be collected on arrival at the Western Esplanade venue.

Once young explorers have completed the trail, they can head over to the Offshore Restaurant to claim their prize.

Prizes must be collected from the restaurant, which is kindly sponsoring the event, before 5pm.

Organisers said: “The monsters have taken over the pier head.”
