Facial recognition vans are being deployed across south Essex to help tackle crime.
Essex Police will station the vehicles in Basildon on October 24 before visiting Southend on October 26.
The vans will look for people suspected of serious offences such as drug, violent and sexual offences, as well as thefts.
Officers have made 200 arrests using the technology, including during investigations into violent and sexual offences.

The technology can accurately identify a person even if their entire face is not visible, including if they wear a face covering.
Police have an obligation to notify the public before any deployment takes place.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “If you're not on our watchlist, your image is discarded in a fraction of a second.”
