Families can enjoy autumn train rides during the school half-term in Pitsea.

Basildon Miniature Railway at Wat Tyler Country Park is operating services from Sunday, October 25 to Saturday, October 31, between noon and 3pm.

Weather-permitting trains depart every 30 minutes on the hour and half-hour, with extra services running every 20 minutes during busy periods.

A spokesman for the railway said: “Come and enjoy the autumn scenery and a little railway adventure with us.”
