A motorist was banned from driving after failing to identify a car driver in Basildon.

Constantin Mihai, 54, of Sherwin Street, Crewe, had the offence proved under the single justice procedure.

Police had required information to identify the driver of a Toyota Prius alleged to have been guilty of an offence on January 9.

At Colchester Magistrates' Court on October 15, he was disqualified from driving for six months, fined £660 and ordered to pay £130 costs.
