A community has been left "unsettled" after suspicious items were discovered at a home in Brentwood.
Essex Police remain at the scene after the items were found at an address on Sawyers Grove this morning (October 30).
The discovery followed reports of a neighbour dispute, prompting around 40 surrounding houses to be evacuated whilst a cordon was erected.
This 100-metre cordon is in place on much of Sawyers Grove and parts of Sawyers Hall Lane and Highland Avenue.
A woman living nearby said the incident has been "unsettling".

She said: "It’s quite unsettling having this right on our doorstep, especially down a road that has so many schools.
"Seeing a bomb disposal vehicle, military personnel and an EOD robot isn’t something you see every day.
"I’m just hoping that everyone is safe and that the people across the street can get back to their homes soon."
Those that have been evacuated can go to a rendezvous point at King George's Playing Fields Pavilion whilst the cordon remains in place.
A man and a woman have been arrested and remain in police custody at this time, though there has been no official confirmation of what they have been arrested on suspicion of.
The suspicious items continue to be assessed by Explosive Ordnance Disposal experts.
Earlier this afternoon, a spokesman for Essex Police said: "We’re continuing to work alongside partners to ensure the safety of residents following the discovery of several suspicious items at an address in Brentwood.
"A 100-metre cordon remains in place across much of Sawyers Grove and small parts of Sawyers Hall Lane and Highland Avenue.
"Around 40 properties are affected, with occupants evacuated as a precaution while Explosive Ordnance Disposal experts safely assess a number of small items.
"A man and a woman remain in custody after officers forced entry to an address this morning, Friday 30 October.
"Residents whose properties are within the exclusion zone can go to a rendezvous point at King George’s Playing Fields Pavilion while the cordon remains in place.
"We appreciate the disruption this is causing and thank residents for their patience.
"We’ll continue to provide updates and hope to have the cordon lifted as soon as possible."
