A RAYLEIGH infant school has become the first in Essex to receive an award from a leading international children’s organisation.
Glebe Infant School was awarded Unicef UK’s Rights Respecting School Award in recognition of its work promoting children’s rights and encouraging pupils to respect each other.
Headteacher Monica Dimmock said: "The children love the work we do on their rights and responsibilities.
“Their self-esteem is great as a result of this and the behavioural standards in the school are fantastic.”
