A NOTORIOUS neighbour from hell has admitted breaching his ten-year Asbo again, by shouting abuse at people in his street.

Dominic McGrath has repeatedly breached an order banning him from wearing a balaclava helmet and singing abusive songs.

Magistrates handed the order to music teacher McGrath, 60, in April 2007 in an effort to halt a campaign of abuse against neighbours in Melville Drive, Wickford.

They told the court his unusual antics included singing songs such as Who Let the Dogs Out and Danny Boy, waving toilet rolls and buying a second-hand car, not to drive, but to park on the street, simply to annoy people.

At the time, he was found guilty of harassment, only to be arrested again in January and February this year for: l Threatening his neighbour, Samantha Swanson by claiming her dog was dead l Calling another neighbour a lesbian and paedophile l Shouting at and mimicking neighbours Gloria Willats and Adrian Lowe.

McGrath appeared in at Chelmsford Crown Court yesterday to admit three charges of breaching his Asbo. Another two breaches were ordered to lie on the file.

The court heard Mc-Grath’s behaviour was due to a mental disorder which was treatable.

Judge David Turner released McGrath on conditional bail while the court awaits pre-sentence reports.

He will return to Chelmsford Crown Court for sentencing next month.

The judge told him he was unlikely to be jailed when he returned for sentence, provided he now stuck to the conditions of his Asbo.

But he warned McGrath: “If you put a foot wrong between now and January 28, you will be going to prison.

“Get on with your music and get on with your life.”

In response McGrath, who wept throughout the hearing, told the judge: “You are the best human being I’ve met”.

McGrath’s antisocial behaviour order, which runs until June 2017, also bans him from communicating with his neighbours, singing or humming derisory tunes, making unnecessary noise and displaying toilet rolls.
