A NEW open mic night, Unplugged, starts at the Kursaal function suite, on Southend seafront, on, February 4.
All musicians are welcome to turn up and play at the venue, on Eastern Esplanade, and give their all in front of an audience.
Organiser Matthew Chambers says: “This is an open mic night, aimed at up-and-coming musicians, as well as the experienced players out there. Anything goes, from rock ‘n’ roll to grime, or poetry. We want to see all sorts o here. The response so far has been brilliant.
“We’re really looking forward to the first night and providing a place for the area’s best raw talent to showcase itself in front of a crowd which appreciates real music.”
Entry is free and doors open at 8pm. If you want to play, contact Matthew in advance, on 07500 908260.
