THE Slick Notes plan to get you into the groove at Bar Lambs, Station Road,Westcliff, on Thursday, February 12.
A group of Essex musicians, from Shoeburyness to Colchester, via Maldon, the band play a mixture of original material, written by trumpeter Matthew Brown and flamboyant frontman Alex Lynn.
They also put their own twist on songs by artists which have influenced the band, such as Ian Dury, Sly and the Family Stone and Stevie Wonder.
So whether you like to shake your pants to a bit of funk, rock, jazz or blues, the Slick Notes have something which will float your boat across the dancefloor.
