THE show Potted Pirates sails into the Palace Theatre, Westcliff, on Wednesday, February 18.
Following the success of Potted Potter, CBBC double-act Dan and Jeff return with this new compressed caper.
In search of talking parrots and mysterious buried treasure, they’re swapping wizards for walking the plank and trading Hogwarts for the high seas.
On the way they’ll be telling tall tales of the seven seas, from Long John Silver to Blackbeard, plus notorious cross-dressing lady pirates Anne Bonny and Mary Read.
There’s also a full-scale re-enactment of the defeat of the Spanish Armada, with a little help from the audience. But will Dan persuade Jeff to let him play Jack Sparrow? How will Jeff keep things ship-shape with that scallywag aboard?
It is recommended for shipmates aged six to Davey Jones, who is very old indeed, and even those who don’t know their shipping forecast from their sea shanty.
Seats are £9.50, or you can buy a family pass for two adults and two children, for £36. The show at the London Road venue starts at 3pm. For more information, call 01702 351135.
