CAR parks run by Rochford District Council have been given a special award by the Association of Chief Police Officers for reducing crime and the fear of crime in parking areas.
All nine of the council’s pay and display car parks in Rayleigh, Hockley, Hullbridge and Rochford were first awarded Park Mark status in 2007 and the latest award followed an inspection last month.
