STUDENT Imogen Leaver proved she had real specs appeal after being crowned regional Spectacle Wearer of the Year.
Imogen from Thorpe Bay finished top of the glass in the Anglia region final of the Specsavers competition and now goes through to the national final.
The 18-year-old said: “I am shocked to have been chosen to go through. I didn’t think I stood a chance.
“I love my glasses – they are so much a part of who I am and have become my favourite fashion accessory. I’ve got a few pairs at home so I can change the colour and style to match an outfit or reflect my mood.”
If successful at the national competition, Imogen could find herself strutting down the catwalk at the competition’s grand finale, at the Victoria and Albert Museum, in London, on Tuesday, October 27.
There, she would be judged by a panel of industry experts, including Specsavers’ style ambassador and Channel 4 presenter Gok Wan.
The winner will receive a year’s modelling contract.
