A MUSIC and military-themed event is being held this weekend to raise money for Help for Heroes charity. The two-day event, at the Exhibition Inn, Great Wakering, will include live music on Saturday from noon until 6pm and a military fancy dress party till 2am. Live acts will include singer Lee Weller and the bands, the Ernshaws Twice Removed and Escapade. The Sunday event will include a raffle and disco from 5pm. Nicola Wheeler and Steve Hunt decided to organise the event to raise money for a charity close to their hearts. Nicola, said: “Steve was in the Army for 12 years, so we decided to do something for the charity. “It’s a great event for all the family, with live entertainment, face painting and refreshments.” Admission is free, but donations for Help for Heroes are requested For details, call 01702 219220.
