What is Laura Trusier, who had her car clamped, complaining about (May 12)?
By her own admittance, she knew she had parked on private property.
Whether for two minutes or two hours, she still deliberately parked on someone else’s land without permission.
Clamping in Southend and surrounding area is not something new and has frequently been published in the Echo.
This lady knew perfectly well she was parking where she shouldn't. She took the risk, failed, and was issued the fine.
She does not has any right to complain.

...Of course parking has to be controlled, but extortion of huge sums of money by clamping vehicles is wrong and should be made illegal.
