BUSINESSES are being offered free training to help them stay competitive.

Rochford District Council is offering free training for businesses that have signed up to the Shop At My Local campaign which aims to support local enterprises and encourage residents to buy locally.

The seminar, in partnership with Anglia Ruskin University will be held over two days Monday, May 24 and Wednesday, May 26 from 9am until 5pm at Kilnfield House, Station Approach, Hockley.

The training seminar will cover a wide range of topics including writing a marketing strategy and making best use of internet marketing. The course will be tailored to the needs and interests of the businesses attending.

It is being run by Malcolm Johnston, the Director of Re-Formation Associates, and there is the option to attend one or both of the days.

Businesses who have not signed up to the Shop At My Local campaign can still attend and the course will cost £75 per person per day plus VAT.

Places will be booked on a first come, first serve basis. To book a place, please contact Claire Relf on 01702 318060 or email Claire.relf@rochford.gov.uk.
