There have been many articles regarding clamping firm LBS Enforcement’s reign of terror in Leigh, but there appears to be nothing anyone can do about it.

According to George Godfrey’s experience (May 28) even the court is completely toothless.

All the warrant officer has to do to enforce the warrant on LBS Enforcement, paid for by Mr Godfrey, at a cost of £100, is to go to the corner of London Road, and Nelson Road, where they hang around all the time.

As his brother and with him at the time, I was a witness to Mr Godfrey’s run-in with LBS.

Every word he said is true, plus the intimidation was so severe towards two pensioners that George Godfrey was on the brink of a heart attack. It took him a long time to get over the experience.

That is why he is so keen to seek justice, but he has had no help from the council or the court.

Can anyone imagine a driver refusing to pay a speeding fine being allowed to get away with it the way LBS Enforcement have?

They have twice written to my brother accusing him of breaking the law.

What law?

I know of no law that says you cannot park in the car park of a property you have been invited to view and are in possession of a appointment made by an estate agent representing the vendor.

I know my brother will not give up and is very disenchanted with the court over this matter.

He now feels he has had £146 stolen from him by LBS Enforcement and another £125 by the Court.
