Congratulations to Julie Robertson for the wonderful production of Beauty and the Beast at the Towngate Theatre recently.
Since the closure of the New Empire Theatre, in Southend, where her players performed award-winning shows, they have continued to entertain us at Belfairs High School.
Julie Robertson continues to produce and direct.
Her group is now becoming recognised as the Players Theatre Company.
Beauty and the Beast is surely worthy of an award for this amazing live theatre production, the first to stage the regional premiere of this Essex show and the first company to use the new stage set based on the touring one.
