We would like suggestions of where our children will be able to play safely after Northlands Park land, Pitsea, has been built on.

We would like suggestions of another safe visible place where our children are supposed to play.

The playing field is not just used for playing on.

The space is used to develop social skills by interacting and playing with other children, also by building independence which is essential for later in life.

Another key use of the field for children is that they can release aggression and boredom in a productive way. We would like suggestions of how we can replicate this without the use of our safe and visible area.

We have enough concern to contend with by the placement of the bail hostel which is very close to the playing areas, which we know houses sex offenders.

What hope is there going to be for the next generation?

...Reading the Echo regarding the sale of playing fields in Basildon, I endorse the comments of Neil Hart and Phil Jacobs concerning Kent View Road recreation field.

The right decision, if councillors had any morals, is to go back and reread the comments made in the past by the council stating that we must make every effort to keep the green parkland for Basildon.
