My partner and I were one of the first private residents to buy a property on the new Parklands development by Bovis Homes in Shoebury.

We moved in in November, and have since been impressed by the professionalism of the sales team and site managers.

We have now also been joined by nice neighbours.

I disagree with the comments made in the article that the number of houses makes the site feel overdeveloped.

In fact, compared to some other developments we viewed, this development is positively open with lots of space and excellent design.

One person interviewed thought the location of the pub in the development will lead to people walking around the area drunk. Is the Parson’s Barn not located in a residential area in much the same way as the new pub is?

Without the help of Bovis Homes offering us a shared equity scheme, it would have been impossible for my partner and I to buy a house.

I would recommend anyone who has concerns regarding the development actually visits the site to see for themselves what a lovely place it is to live.
