Support Our Soldiers is one of the recipients of a donation from Canvey Town Council’s Armed Forces Day and not as reported in the Echo (Jan 18).
We have received a magnificent cheque and would like to thank Canvey Town Council for its generosity.
Support Our Soldiers is a registered charity that sends care parcels to our troops overseas at Christmas and throughout the year.
At Christmas we received a huge of amount of chocolate donated by the customers and staff of Martin McColls and the Post Office in Rayleigh High Street, which I know has gone down rather well in Afghanistan.
Many individuals and schools throughout the area also contributed and I thank them all on behalf of our brave troops.
