Planning permission is being sought for a 30-metre high orange and grey storage building to occupy the old Lookers site in Priory Crescent, Southend.
Priory Crescent was an attractive road. Even the old Ekco building had classic architectural attributes, but, sadly, it has gone.
This building in Priory Crescent, if granted planning permission, will present a view of the town as a cheap, tawdry, inhospitable town which it is becoming.
If we can stand together and prevent this one building from destroying an area that can only be classified as a heritage site we will be doing something.
