Ric Morgan (June 21), obviously does not pay much attention to the amount of traffic on the roads around the airport, either that or he has a very short memory.
When London City Airport was closed because of the bombs, Southend not only coped with its own traffic, it also took every flight which should have gone in and out of London City for a fortnight and nobody, including Ric Morgan, even noticed.
Since that time all the Progress Road improvements have been implemented and the new station at the airport has been built.
