JAMIE Mocock’s factory in Battlesbridge manufactures windows and conservatories, but it also manufactures jobs.

In the three years since it was founded, Trade Windows Warehouse staff numbers have grown from just Jamie, to 120.

Now he plans to repeat the trick all over again, after adding a third company to his Battlesbridge portfolio, Think Green Energy. Two months into its launch, the company has already created 12 new fulltime jobs.

Think Green Energy installs solar panels and other forms of eco-friendly energy devices.

“There are a lot of companies which have jumped on the bandwagon provided by the Government’s feed-in tariff,”

says Jamie. “But we aim at longevity in this marketplace, not just a quick buck. Think Green Energy is the result of two years of careful thought and research.”

A specially constructed showroom at the Battlesbridge site is powered by an array of roof-mounted solar panels and warmed by an air-to-air heater.

A series of dials demonstrates the difference in costs between conventional electricity supply and home generation by solar power.

“The building makes its own point. It costs nothing to heat or light,” says Jamie.

Think Green Energy has been created as a franchise operation.

After just two months of trading, Jamie has already sold his first franchise, to a Yorkshire businessman.
