A CRASH involving four vehicles is blocking one lane and causing serious congestion on the A127 this morning.
The accident, which has now been cleared, happened at about 7.30am between the Fairglen Interchange (A1245) and the Nevendon Interchange (A132) and traffic is backed up all the way to Progress Road in Southend.
There is also serious congestion on the A1245 and the A130, all the way back to Battlesbridge, as cars are queuing to get on the A127 so expect serious delays on the commute this morning.
This image from Google Maps shows traffic backed up for miles on the A127 and reports indicate it is worsening as more commuters head to work.
UPDATE 10am: The crash has been cleared. Traffic remains slow back to Progress Road.
