TWO teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of burglary following eight incidents in Oakfield Road, Benfleet, today.
Officers from Essex Police are investigating five burglaries, one attempted burglary and two thefts from a vehicle between 12.50am and 2am.
During one of the incidents, suspects attempted to drive a vehicle away and crashed into the building burgled.
Officers arrested a boy, 17, and a girl, 16, who was also arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer after an officer reported he was head-butted and kicked.
They remain in custody for questioning.
Police believe there are other suspects outstanding and have urged anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage to contact Basildon CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
