THE hare works of art where produced out of kindness for a community, one that is currently deeply troubled.

Havens Hospices in Southend does a wonderful job in endof life family trauma, yet some individuals seek to damage this remembrance art for their own thrills.

To the perpetrators of this hideous crime, what have the hard-working artists of these beautiful Hares done towards your enjoyment of life, for you to damage it almost beyond repair?

Are you taking a swipe at society for the way you were brought up, the artists for creating such beautiful work in the name of a Southend Hospice, or the town for treating you so unfairly in some way or other, or are you so alienated by a system involving self-representation?

These are socially-engaged artists who seek through art, music and poetry, to make people think a bit about art’s capacity to divert and inspire, so what possessed you to damage their work?

They, for their part, are paying something back to society for their own healthy life and happiness, but what are you to do in return but to damage everything of civic importance in your wake?

Some people just want to cause chaos

NEVER mind the pleasure the hares were giving to so many people, there was always going to be the sad brainless few with no respect for anything, whom would see and take the opportunity to destroy something that their feeble minds could not begin to appreciate.

Most likely out of their minds fuelled with alcohol or drugs, they must now be so proud of their pathetic actions.

Just another example of today’s deteriorating and undisciplined society.

They may well be proud of themselves but to the rest of us they are what they are sad, pathetic lowlife.
