TWO teenage boys were stabbed outside Chalkwell train station.
Police were contacted by paramedics at 9.50pm on Saturday and found a 16 year-old boy, from Rayleigh, with a stab wound to his abdomen.
A 14 year-old boy close to the scene on The Ridgeway, Chalkwell, also had stab wounds.
The pair were both taken to Southend Hospital for treatment.
The 14 year-old has since been discharged but the 16 year-old remains in hospital.
He is believed to be in a stable condition.
A 19 year-old man, from Southend, was arrested a few hours after the stabbing and is currently being questioned by detectives.
A section of The Ridgeway has been cordoned off whilst forensic officers carry out their investigations.
