FIRE crews were called to a stranded vehicle and passenger semi-submerged in the River Crouch this evening.
A Land Rover and its driver were semi-submerged in the river after coming off the slip way at Ferry Road.
One crew from Rayleigh Weir and the water rescue unit from Leigh attended the scene after being called at 8pm.
One person was stranded in the vehicle and crews wore life jackets to make the vehicle and passenger safe by 8.21pm.
