EASTENDERS actor Danny Dyer swapped being the landlord of the Queen Vic for the sights of Southend seafront when he popped into town at the weekend.
Mr Dyer visited Mega Day Out, an indoor fun day at Garon Park, which included performances from former Britain’s Got Talent contestants Bars & Melody.
The actor then went to gourmet steak and lobster venue Bourgee on Sunday.
The Football Factory star recently got into hot water after supposedly “manhandling”
the Great British Bake Off judge Mary Berry at the TV Choice awards.
However, he kept a lower profile on Sunday though, enjoying a meal at the restaurant with his family.
The restaurant tweeted: “Fabulous to welcome the amazing Danny Dyer here at Bourgee last night.”
Former Rochford district councillor James Cottis had also bumped into Mr Dyer earlier in the day.
Mr Cottis, chief executive of entertainment management company Dirty Bootz, posted a selfie on Twitter of himself with Mr Dyer, as fans gathered in the background.
He said: “He had quite a few people following him, so I just took a quick picture and left him alone.”
