POLICE have launched an appeal for help after a cyclist was thrown off his bike in a crash.
Nick Green, 49, spent several hours undergoing surgery at Southend Hospital after being knocked off his bike by a van in Rochford.
Mr Green of Woodstock Crescent, Hockley, ended up tearing two ligaments in his shoulder, after the collision at the junction of Hall Road, Ashingdon Road and West Street, in Rochford.
He was later taken to hospital and found to have serious injuries to his shoulder which required pinning.
The incident happened at about 9.45am on Saturday May 16. The van, believed to be a white courier vehicle, did not stop at the scene.
