Two people were taken to hospital after a car flipped onto its side during a crash in Chalkwell.
Both the police and ambulance services attended the scene, in The Ridgeway, after being called shortly before 4pm this afternoon.
The red Alfa Romeo Mito had flipped onto its side and screeched to a halt outside the shopping parade near Ridgeway Gardens.
A spokesperson for the ambulance service said: "We received a call at 3.52pm to a traffic incident.
"We sent 2 ambulances and an ambulance officer.
"The first ambulance was on scene in six minutes.
"Two patients were taken by ambulance to Southend hospital."
