MYSTERY surrounds the resignation of a director of a performing arts college.
Daniel Holt's resignation was accepted by Whitehall College, in Rayleigh Road, Eastwood.
The college - set up in 1991 - is run by Mr Holt's wife, Judy, who has now reverted back to her maiden name of Kelly.
In a statement, Ms Kelly said: "Daniel Holt is no longer associated with Whitehall College, Whitehall Stage School or the Whitehall Agency."
She said Scott Maclean, assistant headteacher at Eastwood School, would now join Whitehall as a director with immediate effect.
Ms Kelly said: "I see the directorship of Mr Maclean as a significant step to a continued and positive future."
Mr Holt declined to comment when contacted by the Echo.
