THE Canvey Independent Party has won all but one of the seats on the new island town council.
Voters at yesterday's local elections voted for councillors on Castle Point Council.
They also voted for the first councillors on the new Canvey town council.
Out of 11 seats up for election, Dave Blackwell's Canvey Independent Party won ten.
Mr Canvey - Tory county and borough councillor Ray Howard - was the only candidate from another party to be elected.
