MEMBERS of a tenants' group opposing the transfer of Castle Point Council's housing stock to Swan Housing claim the borough council is withholding vital information from them.
Campaigners from the organisation, Castle Point Tenants Against Transfer, have asked Castle Point Council for the names and addresses of all tenants living in council owned homes so they can send out leaflets to them.
Ian Powell, group spokesman, said: "The council has refused to give us tenants' addresses, but this is breaking the law."
The group want tenants to see its leaflets which contradict claims made in glossy housing brochures published by the council and Swan.
