A SEX monster who repeatedly raped two young children and filmed the sickening encounters to share with other paedophiles online has been jailed for 12 years.

Garry Davies, 36, admitted horrific sex offences against an eight-year-old girl and a ten-year-old boy.

The girl's social worker, Jacqueline Smith, told the court: "She would like to have come to court today with a gun to shoot him."

Prosecutor Stephen Rose said police found 66,000 sexually explicit images on Davies's computer, and discovered he had been using a web camera to transmit live pictures of the abuse.

Police became aware of Davies when photos surfaced on the internet of him abusing the girl, who was wearing her school uniform.

He said the girl, now 14, was aged eight when Davies turned his attentions to her, while the boy, now 18, was about ten.

In mitigation, David Holborn said: "To put it bluntly, there's a short circuit in his psychological behaviour."

Judge Philip Clegg said: "Your vile activites span ten years. The abuse will no doubt cast a long shadow on their lives."

Judge Clegg ordered Davies, of Copperfields, Laindon, to serve a minimum of six years. He also banned him from ever working with children, or owning a computer again.

Davies pleaded guilty to two counts of rape, three of raping a child under 13, three of sexual activity with a child, two of taking indecent photos, two of possessing indecent photos, and two of distributing indecent photos.
