KIDS hit the target with their bows and arrows during a sell-out summer archery workshop.
Youngsters were given on tips on reaching the bull's-eye by coaches from the Deanes Sports Centre in Thundersley.
A mini tournament rounded off the packed session at Furtherwick Park School on Canvey.
All 26 children were given certificates for their efforts in mastering the tricky techniques.
Pat Taylor, assistant extended schools co-ordinator, who helped organise the morning said: "I don't know why it's so popular, but every time we run it, it sells out fast. It was very successful.
"The kids enjoyed shooting at the targets and had a competition at the end of the session."
The workshop was one of many events organised throughout the summer by the Canvey Schools Partnership.
