A SECURITY guard was threatened by gun-wielding raiders and robbed of thousands of pounds during a hold-up.
The Securicor guard was delivering a cash box to Barclays Bank in Broadway North, Pitsea.
As he approached the bank he was confronted by the two robbers armed with handguns.
They threatened him and forced him to hand over the cash.
The raid happened at 12pm today.
