POLICE are still investigating the disappearance of a Shoebury man who went missing at the same time as £600,000 vanished from his employers.

Officers have been searching for Simon Carroll, 43, since his blue BMW car was found abandoned near Eastbourne in Sussex.

Mr Carroll had been working as a finance controller for a Purfleet-based company. When he disappeared it was discovered £600,000 had gone missing from a sister company's account in Romford.

Police want to speak to Mr Carroll about the missing money and his family are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Despite several arrests, the investigation into the fraud and Mr Carroll's disappearance is continuing. He is white, 6ft 2ins tall and has short dyed brown hair.

He wears glasses, is normally clean shaven and is known to wear a long blue leather coat.
