TEENAGE yobs disrupted passengers' journeys after hurling a brick at the window of a bus in Benfleet.
The vandals struck as the number 21 First bus was travelling up Bread and Cheese Hill towards Southend with ten passengers on board.
The driver stopped the bus and alerted police after the missile was thrown just after 10am on Monday.
A replacement service was summoned to allow passengers to continue their journey.
Duncan Cameron, First's operations director, said: "An object was thrown at the near side window just after the passenger doors.
"Luckily nobody was injured, but obviously the consequences could have been significant.
"We are sorry for any inconvenience.
"This act by a mindless minority caused delays and ran the risk of serious injury to passengers."
