A woman and two young children had a lucky escape after the car they were travelling in collided with a bus, then crashed into a house.
The car and bus collided in Poynters Lane, Shoebury, at 2.50pm on Friday.
The car then crashed into a nearby house, but luckily no-one was hurt.
Station Officer Pete Bennett, a firefighter who attended the scene, said: "There were no passengers on the bus and a woman and two young children were in the car.
"All three were badly shaken but fortunately no one was hurt."
